Position: Field Sales Representative Job Description: Richardson RFPD is looking for an experienced Technical Field Sales Representative to engage with customers across our state markets to create demand for our suppliers' products. Richardson RFPD, an Arrow Company, is a specialized electronic component distributor providing design engineers with deep technical expertise and localized global design support for the latest new products from the world's leading suppliers of RF, Wireless, IoT and Power Technologies. <a href="https://www.richardsonrfpd.com/" target="_blank">https://www.richardsonrfpd.com/</a> What You'll Be Doing: <ul><li>Primary responsibility is to build &amp; maintain influential relationships with customers, suppliers and Richardson RFPD partners, creating demand for Richardson RFPD products by proactively offering engineering and supply chain solutions</li><li>Key areas of responsibility are: Demand creation and relationship management focused on technical needs of complex, emerging, or underpenetrated prospects</li><li>Has a fundamental understanding of all of Richardson RFPD solutions and is able to match those solutions to customer business needs</li><li>Will drive/create new opportunities and product selection within their accounts, and create demand activity using other technical resources as needed</li><li>Drive supplier and customer engineering relationships at multiple levels</li><li>Utilize distribution/rep/supplier knowledge to grow market share and sales</li><li>Build strong relationships with suppliers and their reps</li><li>Account Management: Initiate and schedule regular visits to the customer facility selling Richardson RFPD's franchised lines and services</li><li>Create selling opportunities through a planned discovery process and strategic approach</li><li>Gain solid understanding of customer's needs and how to translate those needs to Richardson RFPD's requirements or opportunities</li><li>Executes on solution selling through a working knowledge of Richardson RFPD's supply chain solutions and design processes</li><li>Grow profit and maximize margins by selling value-added, long-term solutions, with emphasis on demand creation and engineering</li><li>Relationships: Staying current on product knowledge and/or gaining technical certifications</li><li>Attend supplier training events to keep up-to-date on product line</li><li>Maintains supplier databases and keeps design registration information accurate</li><li>Stay updated on current related technologies in customer base, and attend training as needed</li><li>Guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions and procedures</li><li>Serves as an expert within own discipline</li><li>Serves as a resource for best practices/quality on functional teams or projects</li><li>Trains/mentors junior staff</li></ul> What We're Looking For: <ul><li>Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.</li><li>Must have a strong understanding of the territory you will be working in</li><li>Must have working industry knowledge</li><li>Must have a drive to succeed</li></ul> The Skills That Will Help You Succeed Even More: <ul><li>Semiconductor Sales experience</li><li>Distribution Rep experience</li><li>Manufacturers Rep experience</li><li>OEM Rep experience</li></ul> Work Arrangement: <ul><li>Fully Remote: Must be able to travel to a Richardson RFPD office location as requested by Richardson RFPD leadership</li></ul> What's In It For You: At Richardson RFPD, an Arrow company, we recognize that financial rewards and great benefits are important aspects of an ideal job.
