Job Duties

<li>Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Workforce Training and Continuing Education.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>

First Responder Course Coordinator/Instructor shall mean an individual responsible for the overall coordination of the First Responder Program. The individual shall act as a liaison between the sponsoring agency, students, the local medical community and the Division of The individual is also responsible for the delivery of didactic material, demonstration of the psychomotor skills, and verification of skill proficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Currently licensed as a Tennessee EMT-Basic or Paramedic without history of revocation, denial, or suspension of licensure and nominated by a sponsoring EMS agency.
2. Must be certified as a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Instructor.
3. Pre-Hospital Experience: Minimum of one year practicing in the pre-hospital environment in Tennessee.
4. Letter of recommendation from sponsoring EMS agency.
Authorization renewal shall be contingent upon:
1. Maintaining current Tennessee licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic or Paramedic without disciplinary action.
2. Maintaining current CPR instructor endorsement.
3. A letter of recommendation for reauthorization from the sponsoring EMS agency.

Title: Adjunct Instructor - Biology (Pool)
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class. Regularly check College email account and department mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends. Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Biology or Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in Biology or closely related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS College level teaching experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Rate of Pay: $650.00 - $740.00 per credit hour

Job Duties
<ul>
<li>75% - Teach courses via on ground as assigned. Teach evening, off-campus, and distance-based courses as required. - (Essential)</li>
<li>14% - Post grades during the term for student feedback and submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. - (Essential)</li>
<li>6% - Complete required College trainings and complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines. Advise the Program Chair or Dean at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class. Attend meetings as requested by the Program Chair and/or Dean. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, a Master’s degree in Business, or a Master's degree with at least eighteen (18) credit hours in graduate level Business from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
Collegiate level teaching experience.
