POSITION SUMMARY:

The intern will be part of Marketing & Brand and introduced to the various aspects within Marketing to help set the stage for a broad understanding of various functions. This internship will consist of a rotational program providing exposure to Digital, Analytics, Creative, Project Management and Strategy. Additionally, they will assist with our brand affiliation programs, including toolkits, website evaluation and redesign and the impact of agent relationships. They will become familiar with how companies use performance metrics to help drive decisions on how to best use resources for the greatest impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will work closely with Program Managers to assist in developing and maintaining collateral along with helping to drive awareness and understanding of National Life Group and the products offered.  Other areas of focus the internship may focus on are:

  • Deep dive into the creative workflow process, learning how the team ideates, designs, and delivers materials
  • Source stock imagery and make text edits on presentations, flyers or brochures
  • Assist with creative asset naming and organization
  • Explore and support storytelling through video and collaborate on

script editing

  • Source stock footage and music for videos
  • Act as production assistant at on-site video shoots
  • Take part in user testing for websites and landing pages
  • Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
  • Write copy for posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral.
  • Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.
  • Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
  • Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior Marketing experience or working towards a Marketing degree.
  • Familiarity with marketing software and systems.
  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a passion for marketing.
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities.

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.  National Life offers a competitive total rewards package which includes: a 401(k) retirement plan match; medical, dental, and vision insurance; a company funded wellness account for director and below employees; 10 paid holidays; a generous paid time off plan (22 days of combined time-off for non-exempt employees and exempt employees have discretion in managing their time, including scheduling time off in the normal course of business, but in no event will exempt employees receive less sick time than required by state or local law); 6 weeks of paid parental leave; and 6 weeks of paid family leave after a year of full-time employment.
