How will you make an impact in this role?
The Manager Assistant (Chief-of-Staff) for the Technology Organization will report directly to the Unit CIO of the Finance & Global Supply Management Technology (FGT) group. This role is pivotal in organizing key business processes across the organization, including budget management, talent management & hiring, strategic messaging, communications, town halls, colleague engagement, and more. The candidate will be a key member of the FGT organization Leadership Team, working closely and collaborating with all team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Decision Support: Influence and observe how strategic decisions are made within the organization. Prepare presentations to communicate strategy and vision, provide recommendations for areas of improvement, and implement a communications strategy for the organization.
- Process Management: Develop information structures and processes to enable broad visibility and timely updates on upcoming initiatives, deliverables to key stakeholders, CEG processes, and happenings across all parts of the team.
- Meeting Facilitation: Organize and facilitate leadership meetings, calls, and forums. Plan content and agendas and manage follow-ups for meetings involving the FGT leadership team.
- Talent Management: Run major annual talent management processes such as talent assessment and year-end performance management.
- Engagement Activities: Coordinate, create, and contribute to impactful and engaging presentations and activities such as leadership presentations, strategic projects, town halls, and BUR presentations.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships and open lines of communication with members at all levels of the colleague teams.
- Communication Strategy: Own an effective communication strategy and actively seek feedback to ensure maximum employee engagement and drive a sense of belonging. Support leaders in their development and effectiveness.
- Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve processes and performance across the organization.
- Colleague Processes: Support colleague processes, including recruitment, training oversight, and Amex Flex.
- Communication and Engagement: Oversee communication and engagement strategy for FGT.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to solve problems and plan long-term projects.
- Experience in creating engaging and informative presentations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and influence without direct authority.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Strong understanding of financial management and data analysis.

- Knowledge of Finance and Global Supply Management processes is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
