Job Description:KHSU-KansasCOM is currently seeking a Facilities Manager. This role will report directly to the Executive Director of Facilities, Security and Administrative Services and will interact with managers, employees, and third-party contractors. This position will be responsible for all construction projects, cleaning, utilities, scheduling, and supporting safety/security policies in order to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and staff. The individual in this position is responsible for the scheduling of maintenance and repair activities, contracted services, and custodial services.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Ensures all construction projects are on time and consistent with plans and specifications.</li><li>Main point of contact and liaison with the building landlord and maintenance staff / contractors employed by the building landlord. </li><li>Prepares specifications for campus projects; estimates costs of equipment, materials, labor, and supplies; prepares bid specifications for projects, equipment, and contracted services; oversees campus projects performed by outside contractors, and provides that information to the Executive Director of Facilities, Security and Administrative Services.</li><li>Directs, schedules, and oversees external contractors (electricians, plumbers, general contractors, etc.).</li><li>Schedules outside maintenance workers engaged in building upkeep and repair; electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation services under control of the campus.</li><li>Makes requests to the Executive Director of Facilities, Security and Administrative Services for capital outlay expenditures as needed.</li><li>Develops, implements, and is responsible for preventative maintenance and renovation programs for buildings, mechanical and electrical, and utilities.
