You will be responsible for syllabus design, submission, and approval; holding office hours and conducting midterm grade reviews; providing extra-help sessions, extended-learning opportunities, and field trips; and conducting course and program-level assessments.  &nbsp;&nbsp;The position entails modeling professionalism, fulfilling grading and academic documentation requirements, recording attendance, following academic policies and regulations, and supporting academic assessment and institutional effectiveness efforts. <h4>Department of African and African American Studies: Assistant or Associate Professor in Global Health and Black Studies (Tenure-track)</h4>The Department of African and African American Studies (AFAS) at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track faculty&nbsp;position&nbsp;at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with a focus on health, healing, wellness, health interventions, and/or medicine among Black populations in Africa and/or the African Diaspora, including Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latin American, African American, Afro-Oceanic, or Black communities elsewhere.&nbsp;We seek&nbsp;a&nbsp;dynamic and innovative scholar who can contribute&nbsp;to our Global Black Studies initiative and whose research agenda encompasses a scholarship and activities related to the critical social and/or historical analysis of health or health-related interventions as it pertains to Black populations and communities.
