Web Developer - TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

The ideal candidate will serve in a full-time client facing role as a production and design officer for an Intelligence Community (IC) client providing technical publication support, such as desktop publishing, copy-editing content finished intelligence; coordinating with analysts, graphic designers, cartographers, and fellow editors; and supporting the enforcement and clarification of tradecraft standards.
Responsibilities
LMI is looking for a Web-Based Service Specialist/ User Experience (UX) Specialist to publish content to DS internal and Agency-wide websites, as well as develop new sections or content for OS-related websites (with a focus on the UX/UI, including full site design and coding updates, as needed). In addition, use ofthe JOOMLA ACYmailing system to disseminate email communications to DS audiences will be used.
Execute strategic and tactical website designs, updates, and published products aimed at improving communications within DS and throughout the Agency workforce.
- One DS FTE shall work closely with DS Communications graphic designers to layout and design communications, including the DS weekly Bulletin, for electronic dissemination to DS audiences.
- Publish weekly, monthly, and intermittent communications products on the DS website, based on determined publishing schedule
- Disseminate weekly, monthly, and intermittent communications to the DS workforce via the JOOMLA ACY mailing system, based on determined publishing schedule.
- Work with DS Communications Team and other stakeholders to update DSrelated web products, including specialized sites or pages for events or communications campaigns.
- Connduct website usability, accessibility, and functionality testing; gather periodic website metrics and make change recommendations based on user behavior; working closely with other DS communications officers, monitor websites for up-to-date content and make recommendations for areas of content update and renewal. Develop business processes and an auditing system to ensure that web and digital content remain updated. Conduct surveys to evaluate the success of digital content and messaging and revise website strategy accordingly.
- Assist with all event-related communications and taskings to plan and fully execute Directorate-level events.
- Work under the day-to-day direction of the Chief ofDS Communications and the DS Chief of Staff.
- Attend regular meetings to assess progress and products to review revisions and altered directions. Attend a variety of meetings-some regularly scheduled and some iteratively held-as directed by those above to whom the contractors are accountable.
- Produce articles; briefings; emails; web postings; other multimedia content; and meetings minutes, decisions, and actions for further attention.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with frontend and web application development and support during the development process, including web page hierarchy and organization.
- Extensive frontend web development experience that focuses on user experience/user interface (UX/UI), making information easily accessible and engaging for a user.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with HTML5/CSS3, SASS, and/or JavaScript.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using SharePoint, Word press, and/or Joomla.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using the Adobe Creative Suite to produce a variety of webrelated visuals.
- Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and automation, including A WS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and S3.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with designers to create complex custom user interfaces and interactive experience
- Publish and post web content in a variety of formats, including web articles, videos, and audio stories/Podcasts, with a focus on accessibility (for example, adding closed captioning to finalized videos).
- Experience with ADA accessibility standards and building web platforms that are accessible.
- Excellent organizational skills and superb attention to detail.
