MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise research assistant/call center study staff
  • Maintain caseload of study participants.
  • Schedule staff to ensure coverage of study times
  • Onboard new staff on the study.
  • Track key project statistics and utilize these metrics to make informed decisions regarding the scope of the project.
  • Monitor participant retention rate and proactively address drop out concerns as they arise.
  • Collect data using a variety of methods.
  • Maintain communication between Caron and call center
  • Enter data into research databases, such as SPSS, Excel, and REDCAP.
  • Complete monthly study progress reports
  • Perform quality control checks on 10% of calls and data
  • Review data for errors in entry.
  • Attend Caron meetings involved with research activities, as needed.
  • Use judgment and be self-directed in performance of responsibilities.
  • This job may require at minimum 1 weekend a month (not to exceed 2) and some evening work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Light lifting and bending
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Master’s degree required.  Previous clinical trial experience can substitute for Master’s degree
  • Experience in mental health or addiction treatment or research.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous call center experience preferred
  • Attention to detail in work assignments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize work.
  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, SPSS software programs.
  • If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety is preferred.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule, including weekend and evening hours, to align with project goals, scheduled appointments, and supervisory responsibilities.

COMPETENCE AND MEASUREMENT:

  • Demonstrate ability to gain staff confidence and maintain participants in the study
  • Demonstrate attention to detail through a minimum of errors in data entry.
  • Demonstrate time-management abilities through timely completion of multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently through decision-making skills and independent completion of tasks in absence of Director of Research.
  • Demonstrate initiative in completion of tasks without prior requests and in approaching Director of Research with project ideas and suggestions.
