Research Analyst - Clearance Required
Overview
LMI is seeking a Research Analyst for on-site work in the National Capital Region.
The Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) initiative accelerates technologies through the development pipeline from prototypes to validated military capabilities. Specifically, RDER verifies the production readiness and operational utility of prototypes and recommends the most promising technologies for production. This position requires an Active Secret clearance (TS with SCI eligibility preferred).

Responsibilities
We are seeking capable, qualified individuals to serve as research analysts to support Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) risk-to-transition analyses for RDER projects. Qualified candidates will:
- Possess strong research skills, knowing how and where to acquire information about DoD technologies, training, experiments, organizations, doctrine, etc.
- Possess strong analytical abilities, knowing how to identify trends and draw conclusions from data.
- Prepare finished analytical products, including briefings and technical reports.
- Be willing to travel to and/or work from government facilities in the National Capital Region (e.g., the Pentagon, Mark Center, etc.). Some travel outside the National Capital Region may be required to attend events and interview stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a field that requires research and writing.
- 3-6 years of experience conducting research and analysis of written materials and through interviews.
- Demonstrable advanced research, critical thinking, analysis, and writing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Active secret clearance (TS with SCI eligibility preferred).
