Pre-Pharmacy Advisor

Position Summary
The Pre-Pharmacy Advisor is responsible for advising undergraduate students enrolled in the pre-pharmacy track at the Feik School of Pharmacy (FSOP). This position works to successfully advance recruitment, increase retention, and provide a successful matriculation into the professional phase of the pharmacy program. The Pre-Pharmacy Advisor reports to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs.

Required Education
Bachelor's Degree required.
Required Work Experience
Two (2) years of experience in counseling and advising in an education setting or similar setting. Note that counseling/advising or relevant administration experience in a high/middle school setting will be considered. Note that additional education will be considered in lieu of required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, or related discipline.
- Three (3) or more years of academic advising or related higher education experience.
- Experience in a School of Pharmacy, related health professions school, or Student Affairs in a higher education setting.
- Experience in the development and implementation of events and student programming.
- Experience with Recruit, Banner, Data Management Systems, CRMs, or Centralized Application Services.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
- Must have a valid driver's license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.
- Valid U.S. Passport or valid driver's license with “Real ID” designation, as required for air travel.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours or weekends as needed, especially in the planning and execution of events, to meet departmental goals.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs for table set-up/tear-down at events.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs of recruitment materials.
- Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage potential or current students for extended periods of time.
