$42/hour and up depending on experience! Plus shift differential!
Tuesday- Saturday 7:00pm-3:30am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the supervision of nursing personnel (i.e.: RN, LPN, C.M.A., C.N.A.) to ensure quality care of patients.
- Responsible to assure adequate staffing, orientation, training, communication and compliance with facility policies; administration of work rules, regulations and, when necessary, disciplinary action for the team they supervise. Assures staff attendance at required in-service, meetings and trainings.
- Receives and provides accurate and thorough shift reports at shift exchange.
- Monitors the implementation of nursing processes to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Through chart review, audits nursing documentation (i.e.: assessments, progress notes) to assure quality standards of care are met.
- Ensures patients are properly assessed and monitored for changes in medical and/or mental health status and level of care requirements. Ensures escalation of notable information to appropriate individuals.
- Plans and assists in patient education.
- Monitors and/or performs diagnostic testing within their scope of nursing care, as ordered by Physician.
- Through chart review and/or audits, assures that all physician orders are acknowledged and implemented appropriately. Participates in quality review of records and incident report findings.
- Regularly provides feedback to direct reports on performance and completes appraisals on employee performance.
- Facilitates communication between staff and Director of Nursing.
- Ensures the functionality and availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Serves on Nursing Work Groups.

- Lifting: up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Standing: up to several hours at a time, this may include walking, climbing steps, and descending steps.
- Walking: must be able to ambulate throughout the assigned facilities on Caron properties.
- Sitting: up to several hours at a time for data entry into the computer or medical record documentation.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
- Current CPR/First Aid training/certification required.
- 1-3 years’ experience in leading or supervising a team required.
- Previous experience in a hospital and/or with substance use disorder preferred.
- Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of addictions with age specific patient populations preferred.
- Working knowledge of personal computers and basic computer software required.
- Requires a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- If in recovery, 2 years’ continuous sobriety preferred.
Competencies / Measurements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used withdrawal and psychotropic medications and their side effects - Competency exam.
- Demonstrated knowledge of chemical dependency symptoms, process and treatment modalities - Competency exam.
- Ability to utilize medical equipment including EKG machine, glucometers, aerosol treatment machines, oxygen tanks, and suction machine - Annual training, proficiency demonstration
- Demonstrated ability to administer medications correctly and document thoroughly - Quality control occurrence report.
- Meets expected standards of Medical/Nursing documentation - Quality control of medical documentation according to predetermined standards.
- Ability to perform diagnostic screening tests such as identified waived testing - Proficiency demonstration.
- Ability to effectively manage staff – including hiring, training, performance management, etc. - Proficiency demonstration.
