POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT EVENING INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR   The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the part-time  position of Instructor in the Evening Industrial Electricity program.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS •  Minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentials  in related field. •  Minimum three (3) years of experience in the industrial maintenance / electrical field within  the last five (5) years. •  Must be proficient in residential, commercial, and industrial electricity with extensive  knowledge of the National Electrical Code. •  Experience with mechanical maintenance, motors, electromechanical controls, AC variable  frequency drives, electronics, programmable logic controllers, robotics, and blueprints •  Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. •  Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality; •  Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher  and to interact with students. •  Commitment to utilizing technology in the teaching/learning experience and willingness to stay  up to date in developing instruction technologies   GENERAL DUTIES:  The Evening Industrial Electricity Instructor is responsible for providing  individualized classroom and lab instruction to students. The Instructor must monitor, grade, and  evaluate individual students’ progress, maintain student records in the college’s student records  management software, maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports. The instructor  must also maintain good public relations with related business and industry, assist with advisory  committee duties, cooperate with outside agencies and supervise and follow-up on students  participating in cooperative education.   Other duties include participation in curriculum development, student recordkeeping, and student  recruitment, placement, follow-up of program graduates, participation in professional development  activities, and participation in student organizations. Some travel is required.   SALARY: $31.50 per hour.   WORKING CONDITIONS:   •  Use of computer •  Normal standing, sitting, and walking •  Lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs •  Operate standard electrical equipment and tools, stand and climb ladders •  Operate a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as  needed. •  Must have the physical capability of meeting the demands of campus maintenance / grounds and  electrical work as well as managing both IMT and INE students.   APPLICATION & RESUME SUBMISSION: Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter, resume,  transcripts, applicable certifications and application online at tcatcrump.edu For more information  call Christi Floyd at 731-632-3393.
