How will you make an impact in this role?

The Engineer - IT Asset Management position is responsible for contributing to the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, modifying, deployment, documentation, reliability, and availability of software, systems and data for ITAM solutions and processes. The engineer will work with technology and business partners to ensure data integrations are designed, functioning and monitored to deliver high quality and complete data to ITAM processes. Additional responsibilities include analyzing data to drive root cause identification of issues and managing the issue to resolution.The successful candidate will work individually and with teams on both structured and unstructured assignments. 

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assists in documenting data requirements and data stories, including analyzing data requirements, data stories and corresponding data sources and data architecture.
  • Liaise between ITAM product and control development, control operations, technology support and development related to IT asset data requirements and issues.
  • Assists in supporting data testing.
  • Conduct data mining/analysis activities to provide actionable insights to support issue identification, resolution or to support enhancements.
  • Investigate and drive incident and problem resolution, collaborating with partner teams
  • Monitor and measure accuracy of inbound data feeds, data conditioning processes and work with partner teams to identify and drive resolution of quality or completeness gaps.
  • Assist in investigating, documenting and monitoring all upstream and downstream systems, tools and processes which facilitate effective operation of ITAM controls.
  • Provide data analysis and documentation to support process and audit activities.
  • Communicate the status of issues, preventative solutions and resolution to the team and leader with an emphasis on risk awareness.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position must be a proven initiative-taker with the ability to manage multiple priorities.In addition, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Up to 4 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience
  • Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases, data visualization, dashboard or report design, Power BI
  • General knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Understands XML/JSON and schema development/reuse, database concepts, database designs
  • Conducts systematic and rational analyses to identify the root cause of problems.
  • Excellent skills in organizing and managing workload to ensure demands are met and targets are achieved.
  • Experience in data and information analysis, utilizing various sources to make sound conclusions and decisions.
  • Is clear when explaining ideas and concepts to others, communication is structured and easy to understand.
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and adaptive communication.
  • Knows when to raise decisions and when to make on-the-spot decisions.
  • Able to challenge the status quo and drive creative ideas and solutions.
  • Recognizes the importance of teamwork and collaboration to achieve objectives.
  • Adapts to change quickly and easily.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IT Asset Management, multi-source CMDB and the ServiceNow platform.
  • Professional certifications or 3+ in IT Asset Management (i.e., CSAM, CITAM, CHAMP, CAMSE or equivalent).

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
