What we do

The PMO team is part of the finance organization, playing a critical role in managing the multiple organizations across the company. The PMO team is truly cross functional – working directly with key stakeholders in Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Implementation and Operations. In addition to being tasked with managing the overall program, the PMO is also responsible for leading the charge on the affordability projects, which play a crucial role in Symbotic hitting its financial targets.

What you’ll do

  • Manage PMO daily operations, including development and implementation of project management methodologies, templates, and best practices
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across projects
  • Collaborate on the master schedule and change management process
  • Develop, maintain, and contribute to detailed project plans, track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule
  • Assist with the implementation of project management tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Develop and deliver clear and concise project status reports to the PMO Director, CFO and senior management, highlighting key metrics and potential roadblocks
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within the PMO groups, and develop and implement optimization solutions
  • Stay up to date on project management best practices
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree preferred); PMP certification a plus
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience, including 8 years’ PM experience, ideally within the materials handling or a related industry; direct team leadership experience preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile) and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with high tech manufacturing is a plus
  • Experience with rapid growth companies is beneficial

Other considerations

  • Travel up to 10% may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.
