We have an opening for a Coordinator, C.A.R.E. (Center for Academic Research and Excellence) at our Chattanooga State campus! 

The role will be responsible for the following: The Coordinator, C.A.R.E. will organize and implement professional development workshops and activities, manage various administrative tasks, and support faculty and staff in enhancing student success. This role will contribute to the College's mission by fostering collaboration and innovation within the C.A.R.E. center.

Essential Functions

Professional Development Coordination:

• Organize and implement professional development workshops, meetings, and activities in C.A.R.E., including plenary sessions and Summer Institute initiatives.

• Produce and distribute the weekly WeCARE Update, editing and verifying details with input from the Director.

• Assist in the coordination of convocation week activities.

Administrative Management:

• Manage budget ledgers and records for the Center.,

• Process payments in Sciquest and submit invoices for payment.

• Prepare contracts for faculty stipends and temporary workers.

• Manage schedules for student workers and submit records for Financial Aid.

Resource and Database Maintenance:

• Upload course lists from Argos into Digication for ePortfolio access.

• Maintain attendance records for C.A.R.E. workshops and activities.

• Maintain the C.A.R.E. LibGuide to ensure resource information is current. • Maintain the calendar for the Huddle table and C.A.R.E. classroom.

Communication and Support:

• Greet visitors, answer phones, and respond to online inquiries to C.A.R.E.

• Provide clerical support to the C.A.R.E. Director.

• Administer the Kahoot! License, serving as a liaison between faculty and Kahoot! Staff.

Organizational Culture & Inclusive Practices:

• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment in the center while operating necessary equipment.

• Order supplies and materials for workshops.

Position Requirements

• Associate degree in a relevant field (Education, Administration, or similar). A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in coordinating educational programs or professional development, preferably in an educational setting. • Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Additional Details:

This is an in-person position based on Chattanooga State’s Main campus, supporting in-person activities and collaboration within the C.A.R.E. center.

Projected Salary Range: $37,030 - $44,440
