Description
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR to work in our Business Management department. Our team works an on-site 9x80 work schedule located out of Idaho Falls EROB facility with every other Friday off.
You will perform procurement actions including program planning (NCJ and SOW development), requirement development, vendor registration, contract administration activities, and closeout assistance. You will maintain detailed documentation to support contracting activities.
You will report to the Associate Director of Acquisitions and Contract Management.
Responsibilities Include:
- You will maintain detailed documentation to support contracting activities.
- Collaborate with others and work within acquisition and teams to address challenges, institute improvements and achieve the goals /objectives of the laboratory.
- Use computer systems to access, create, edit, print, manipulate analytical data, files, or other information.
- This requires the use of established concepts and techniques (including the evaluation of scope, risk, customer goals) to help with contract administration.
- Represent the Acquisition Management organization to program management on technical projects and in other customer service roles.
- Provide direction and assistance to requestor and Contract Specialist in development of requisitions and other procurement-related issues, particularly in appropriate use of automated systems.
- Activate and fulfill orders using effective methods, Blanket Ordering Agreements (including Business-to Business agreements), Purchase-Card, or computer material ordering system. May procure nuclear grade procurements/services supporting safety functions.
- Provide status for material orders and services to support accurate scheduling and delivery of internal and external work.
- Collaborate with vendors, buyers, planners, technician/crafts, and customers using methods to facilitate order delivery of materials and services. Input vendor and purchase order data into a computer system. Prepare Bills of Materials.
- Interpret technical content of specifications, review and may develop statements of work (SOW), research vendor data, apply quality control requirements, identify potential sources of materials, and integrate all requirements into specification-based requisitioning documents.
- Provide excellent customer service to vendors and the procurement specialists to help ensure vendors are being added to the systems to facilitate mission promoting acquisitions.
- May contact vendors for pricing information, to expedite the delivery of purchased items, or to place orders for standard, off-the-shelf merchandise according to pre-negotiated contract prices.
Minimum Requirements:
Level 2-High School Diploma and 2 years of experience in contracts, legal, or document/report writing environments.
Level 3-High School Diploma and 4 years of experience in contracts, legal, or document/report writing environments.
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is: Level 2-Salary grade 320 ($19.41- $31.05 ) / Level 3-Salary Grade 330 ($21.90- $36.13). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
